Clement is a partner in the construction and engineering contracts department. His practices cover all aspects of drafting, negotiation and adjudication of construction and engineering contracts. He has a vast experience in Alternative Disputes Resolutions related to various forms of construction contracts commonly used in Tanzania, South Africa and internationally. For over ten years, he has advised a range of stakeholders in engineering and construction contracts, both in contentious and non-contentions matters. He has assisted clients in enforcing adjudication and arbitral awards at the respective adjudicative bodies in Tanzania. He has a broad experience in PPP Projects and EPC Turnkey Contracts and is a construction and engineering claims specialist.
Clement is a fellow of the Association of Arbitrators (Southern Africa) NPC, an associate member of the Tanzania Institute of Arbitrators, a member of the International Construction Lawyers Alliance, Society of Construction Law Africa (SCLA), and a member of Dispute Resolution Board Foundation. He holds a law degree from Iringa University (2010), a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practices, an Advanced Certificate in Construction Contracts from the University of Pretoria, South Africa, and a certificate of International Commercial Arbitration from King’s College, London, UK.
On a corporate practice, he has an in-depth experience in insolvency and corporate restructuring.
